Working with Atlanta Public Schools and KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, Jackson Medical provided teachers and school staff with PPE to create a safer teaching environment for students as schools continue to operate through the COVID-19 Pandemic.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Jackson Medical’s hospital partners, large and small, started asking the same question: “Do you have PPE?” Hospitals were desperate for a stable supply — orders that they placed never showed up, quality from many manufacturers was inadequate, and price gouging was common.
The Jackson Medical team leapt into action to address the mounting PPE shortages that were such a huge problem, utilizing their development expertise in the medical device field and their connections within American manufacturing networks to rapidly build up a stockpile of face shields, which provide an added layer of protection from airborne droplets. Over the past year, Jackson Medical’s face shields have been distributed to 7 states. Jackson Medical was able to help hospitals and clinics, large and small, obtain and procure the PPE they needed to continue operating and caring for patients.
Bringing it home and continuing their commitment to protecting America’s heroes, Jackson Medical donated more than 9,000 face shields to Atlanta Public Schools and KIPP Metro Atlanta to protect teachers and staff as Atlanta returns to a new normal.
